Meghan and I got FIRST PLACE in all of the State of Idaho for ENSEMBLE HUMOROUS.
Which is THE MOST COMPETITIVE DRAMA CATEGORY in the ENTIRE State. I can't begin to describe how proud I am of us. For three years, we've prepared and competed with Ensemble Humorous pieces all the way to final round at State, and we have FINALLY medaled in that category, and not just medaled, but won FIRST PLACE. We worked so hard on our piece this year and I'm so happy that the work paid off. Our piece is called "Open to Interpretation" and is about Hansel and Gretel told in many different genres. We scored nothing but 10 out of 10s and recieved 7 out of 9 #1 rankings and only two #2 rankings. That's pretty damn fantastic. Ms. Cooke was in the tab room when she found out and reported to us after the Awards Ceremony that she screamed. Meghan and I screamed as well. I'm so proud of us.

On the way to the school for competion on the first day. I was so nervous the entire time up until the final round. That's 2 DAYS of nervousness.

On stage on Saturday night waiting to hear who won first place. Meghan's mom video taped it and we looked so depressed when they announced third and second because we thought there was no way we would win first.

Obviously, we were really excited.

It's a little messed up in the middle. I'll try recapturing it next weekend.
Also worthy of note is that their other entry in the state competion made it into the finals.
